Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage project assignments to team members with the Design Director/s

• Overseeing all design elements, from the conception to final delivery

• Maintaining high standards of quality and making sure only the best work is released to the employer or client

• Research concepts and materials to support the design team on technical issues influencing concept development.

• Knowledge of material & colour scheme specifications requirement

• Ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easy to decipher

• Decide the most appropriate materials for the design within the budget restriction

• Coordinate with QS and Project Managers

• Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion

• Ensure team's final result is delivered adhering to company's standards

• Work with Projects team to develop a design solution

With Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline

• At least 8 years experience as Interior Designer or relevant experience in the Corporate Office Interior Design field

• Sketch-up, V-ray, Auto CAD, and Adobe photoshop proficiency required. (Fast sketch up 3D modelling operations with well-made structure and high-quality rendering skills)

• Excellent problem-solving skill, especially on balancing design aesthetic and product needs.

• In-depth knowledge of interior construction structure and finishing

• Demonstrate understanding of principles of space and layout planning

• Able to develop and present design concepts with a creative perspective

• Fluent in English

• Positive attitude and result oriented, strong communication skill
