Job Description

Our client, a leading conglomerate with diverse business interests, is hiring a Deputy Managing Director, Real Estate & Development. This is a pivotal role, supporting the Managing Director in overseeing the company's real estate, investment, asset management, and development portfolios.

The successful candidate will play a critical part in shaping strategy, driving growth, and delivering high-profile hospitality and mixed-use developments that meet market needs and uphold the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's real estate and investment strategies, identifying and leading new acquisitions, partnerships, and development opportunities

You will oversee the full cycle of development projects from planning, design, approvals, and financing through to construction and delivery while ensuring that projects are commercially viable, on time, and aligned with quality and regulatory standards.

The role also covers managing and optimizing existing assets for long-term value creation, building strong relationships with investors, government authorities, and partners, and championing sustainability and innovation across the portfolio.

Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of experience in real estate development, investments, and hospitality or mixed-use projects, with a track record of success in leadership positions.

  • He/she will have strong expertise in finance, market analysis, project management, and regulatory compliance, with a proven record of delivering large-scale, complex developments and driving business growth.

  • A commercially astute leader with excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, the candidate will be adept at building partnerships across investors, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related discipline is required, with a master's degree an added advantage.

  • Fluency in English is essential, while additional language capabilities in Mandarin, Japanese, or Thai would be beneficial.
