A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a strategic and results-driven Deputy General Manager to oversee critical operations across supply chain, production, and compliance. This confidential role is ideal for a seasoned leader with deep technical expertise and a proven track record in aerospace manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
. Lead sourcing and procurement of high-performance materials including titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel
. Develop supplier relationships and ensure continuity of supply for mission-critical components
Production Management
. Oversee daily operations of production lines, ensuring reliability and throughput
. Implement strategies to meet and exceed quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets
Quality & Compliance
. Ensure full compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, ASTM, and AMS
. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain audit readiness and regulatory alignment
Process Improvement
. Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
. Drive operational efficiency and reduce cycle times across manufacturing processes
Team Leadership
. Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve KPIs including first-time yield (FTY) and on-time delivery
. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and innovation
Cost Optimization
. Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, waste reduction, and process enhancements
. Monitor budget adherence and contribute to financial planning
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
. Strong understanding of aerospace-grade materials and component drawing interpretation
. Experience with composite manufacturing is a plus
Leadership Experience:
. Minimum 10 years in aerospace manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
. Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex operations
Certifications (Preferred):
. Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
. AS9100 Internal Auditor or equivalent
Education:
. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred)
