We are seeking committed and motivated individuals to fill the following position:

Implementing operations and resolving problems in accounting, finance, and tax (40%)

As the hub for Toyota Asia, TMA(SG) must support the smooth operation of cash management and international taxation for each Asian company, and must also resolve any issues that arise from the perspectives of accounting, finance, tax, governance, and compliance.

  • In accounting, accounting treatment, especially, software-related transactions have been increasing recently, so knowledge of software accounting is desirable.
  • In finance area, intercompany loans, netting, accounts receivable and payable management, debt collection, and multi-currency processing will be job responsibilties.
  • In taxation, you will manage negotiating with Singapore tax authority (IRAS) and resolving international tax issues such as APA and MAP. In this area, many tax systems are involved in automobile transactions, such as customs duties, exercise tax, VAT and leading BEPS activities for Asian subsidiaries.

Administrative support for new businesses (30%)

Toyota is actively expanding new businesses in order to realize our vision of becoming mobility company.

  • Administrative support for these activities is required. For example, valuing new businesses, conducting financial due diligence, managing investments and creating rules to improve and restore the performance of new companies.

Leading important projects for Asian subsidiaries and affiliates (20%)

Supporting large-scale projects such as shareholder meetings and large investment projects at Asian subsidiaries and affiliates. These efforts will lead to Toyota Asia expanding its presence in Asia and strengthening its governance. In implementing the above, managing Toyota Asia authorization rule and leading the revision as necessary.

General Duties (10%)

There may be a requirement to participate with various the above projects and tasks.

Examples include:

  • Maintainingand improving good relationships with financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, consulting firms and investors.
  • Responding to requests from Toyota Motor Corporation, TMA (SG)s parent company (including attending to business travelers).
  • Any other ad hoc requests as described by management

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder with at least 10 years of working experience in accounting or finance sector
  • Knowledge of basic risk, credit & collection in automotive industry
  • Deep understanding on automotive profit management (Global profit management & Mid-term profit management)
  • Strong in skills in analysis, logical and clear thinking, problem solver, good in presentation skills, business planning
  • Highly competent with MS Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel), Essbase & SAS
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong passion to drive operation and team
  • High motivation to learn, possess a Can-do and never give up mentality
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Travelling is required and flexibility to work for long hours especially during peaks period for projects
  • Ability to converse in Japanese is an advantage for communications with counterparts in headquarters in Japan
