JOB OVERVIEW

The Demand Planner will play a critical role in managing demand planning based on a rolling 6-month customer forecast and actual demand. This position is key to ensuring timely delivery while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers to assess forecast accuracy and reliability, using this data to develop strategic inventory management plans. By leveraging insights from customer forecasts, the Demand Planner will help drive operational efficiency, minimize stockouts or overages, and support a seamless supply chain process to meet customer demands.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

  • Develop and maintain plans based on a 6-month rolling forecast and actual customer demand.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to align schedules with forecasted requirements.
  • Adjust plans dynamically in response to changes in customer demand or forecast updates.

Forecast Analysis

  • Analyze monthly variances between forecasted and actual demand.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies in customer forecasts.
  • Prepare and present monthly forecast accuracy reports to internal stakeholders and customers.

Customer Engagement

  • Conduct regular reviews with customers to discuss forecast reliability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with customers to improve forecast quality and responsiveness.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance forecasting practices.

Inventory Management

  • Develop inventory buffer strategies based on forecast reliability metrics.
  • Ensure sufficient inventory to meet delivery commitments without overstocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust buffer plans as needed to optimize working capital.

JOB REQUIREMENT(S)

  • Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Strong experience in production planning or supply chain roles, preferably in a low-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
