DC Operations Shift Lead
About the Role
We are seeking experienced DC Operations Shift Leads to join our team in managing mission-critical data centre operations. In this role, you will lead a shift team to ensure smooth and reliable operations, handle escalations, and uphold compliance standards across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the DC shift team to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Allocate shift patterns, oversee handovers, and monitor task completion.
- Manage escalations, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.
- Oversee incident management, ticketing, and service requests in line with SOPs.
- Conduct routine DC operations, including rack/stack, cabling, equipment setup, and vendor management.
- Drive onboarding, training, and competency reviews of shift members.
- Maintain accurate documentation (SOPs, EOPs, escalation matrices, incident reports).
- Represent the shift team during audits, reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Facilities, Service Delivery, and Security teams.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in IT, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years experience in a Data Centre environment, with 2 years in a team leadership role.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to draft SOPs, reports, and formal communications.
- Proactive, with strong initiative in managing operations and incidents.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and supervise effectively.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night).
