Datadog Engineer

Job Summary

 We are seeking a Datadog Engineer to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end monitoring and observability solutions across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and networks. The role focuses on leveraging Datadog APM, Logs, RUM, Metrics, and Synthetics to improve system reliability, performance, and operational visibility.

Responsibilities

·      Manage and optimize Datadog observability platform and monitoring configurations.

·      Develop dashboards, alerts, service maps, and custom monitoring solutions.

·      Implement APM, distributed tracing, RUM, log analytics, and synthetic monitoring.

·      Define and track KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs to support service reliability.

·      Integrate Datadog with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and OpsGenie.

·      Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and SRE teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

·      Automate monitoring and reporting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

·      Document best practices and provide technical guidance to team members.

Requirements

·      Bachelor's degree in computer science/ information technology or equivalent

·      5-8 years of experience in monitoring, infrastructure, or application support.

·      3+ years of hands-on Datadog experience across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, and Synthetics.

·      Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

·      Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.

·      Strong understanding of observability principles including metrics, logs, and traces.

·      Experience with Terraform and ITIL processes is an advantage.
