Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Datadog observability platform and monitoring configurations.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, service maps, and custom monitoring solutions.
- Implement APM, distributed tracing, RUM, log analytics, and synthetic monitoring.
- Define and track KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs to support service reliability.
- Integrate Datadog with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and OpsGenie.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and SRE teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Automate monitoring and reporting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Document best practices and provide technical guidance to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/ information technology or equivalent
- 5-8 years of experience in monitoring, infrastructure, or application support.
- 3+ years of hands-on Datadog experience across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, and Synthetics.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of observability principles including metrics, logs, and traces.
- Experience with Terraform and ITIL processes is an advantage.
