Job Description
1. Perform detailed cooling load calculations and thermal analysis for data halls, including rack-level heat load assessments.
2. Design, review, and optimize ACMV systems, including:
- CRAC/CRAH units
- Chilled water systems
- Cooling towers and pumps
3. Lead and support cooling system upgrades and retrofits, ensuring minimal disruption to live data center operations.
4. Evaluate system performance using KPIs such as:
o Power Usage Effectiveness
o System Efficiency
5. Conduct energy optimization studies and recommend improvements (e.g., air flow management, containment strategies, setpoint optimization).
6. Support capacity planning and future expansion work based on IT load growth.
7. Review engineering drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with design intent and operational requirements.
8. Work closely with operations teams to implement EOPs/MOPs for mechanical system interventions.
9. Participate in risk assessments, failure mode analysis, and incident investigations related to cooling systems.
10. Ensure all works comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements in Singapore
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2. Additional certifications relevant to theindustry is an added advantage
3. 1-2 years experience maintainingelectrical, mechanical, fire protection system in a data centre environment
4. Experience and knowledge of MEP equipmentsuch as CAHU, CRAC, ACMV systems, pumps, cooling towers, UPS, generators, etc.
5. Strong technical expertise in thermalmanagement, cooling load calculations, and energy efficiency improvements,supporting design and upgrading of cooling systems in data centre environments.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities,communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of ateam
7. Strong written and verbal communicationskills
8. Proficient in Computer skills eg.Microsoft office, google emails , docs etc.
9. Shift work & Standby Duty is required(Shift allowance available)
