Data Centre Field Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Field Engineer to support mission-critical data centre and remote building operations in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day data centre operations and computer room activities
- Manage key access, vendor escorting, facilities checks and secure-room activities
- Support server power-up, degaussing, laptop management and routine checks
- Follow data centre procedures and security requirements strictly
- Monitor, escalate and track incidents through to resolution
- Coordinate with data centre and outsourcing vendors
- Prepare operational reports for management
- Support other operational duties as required
- Minimum 5 years of Data Centre Operations experience
- Mandatory: Data Centre Operations experience within financial institutions
- Experience in a 24x7 / high-pressure environment
- Strong knowledge of Incident, Problem & Change Management / ITIL
- Experience managing data centre and outsourcing vendors
- Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Strong communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts
