The Role
Data Architect
The data architect will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that align with our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data technologies and a proven track record of delivering successful data projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and manage NTUC's data architectural strategies, leveraging on relevant and modern technologies while ensuring alignment with NTUCs needs and vision
- Establish the data architecture, framework, principles, standards, and guidelines for NTUC data products, projects and services.
- Provide leadership in the data architecture, design and development of data products, applications and services ensuring scalability, reliability, robustness and security.
- Analyse business strategies and provide insights from a data and architectural perspective on possible solutions that would meet and enhance desired business outcomes
- Identify new relevant data technology trends and developments, drive technical Proof-of-Concepts to evaluate and bring suitable technologies into NTUC
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data project requirements and deliverables
- Develop and implement data models and schemas that leverages best practices in data architecture and data management to achieve the desired outcomes
- Provide mentorship and guidance on data best practices and methodologies
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a data architect with a strong knowledge of both data technologies and data management, spanning across data cloud platforms and services, data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Expected to have at least 12 years of relevant technical working experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience doing data architecture related work.
- Familiarity and experience with implementing and maintaining data products and services.
- Strong technical knowledge with an enterprise perspective.
- Preferably have knowledge and experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cloud technologies particularly on Microsoft Azure, AWS and/ or GCP.
- Strong analytical capability, able to pick up new skills and domains quickly.
- Able to communicate with all levels and a good team player
- Able to see both the bigger picture as well as go into details when necessary.
