WHAT TO EXPECT
We are on the hunt for a highly motivated individual who will be building data pipelines, developing dashboards, performing statistical analysis, and supporting finance workflow streamlining projects with a focus on insurance and financial analytics projects. You will leverage tools like Excel, SQL, and Tableau to manage data transformation, visualization, and feature engineering, crafting insights that drive operational excellence in finance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Cleaning and preparing data in alignment with analytics requirements, utilising tools like SQL, Tableau, and Excel. Help define and create data structures that meet the requirements of various analytics projects, focusing on data integrity, accessibility, and usability.
- Design and implement database schemas that effectively organize and store data, ensuring optimal performance for analytical queries. Developing and documenting business rules for data use, and suggesting enhancements that may involve SQL or VBA scripting.
- Analysing and reviewing data from internal and external sources to identify trends, generate value-adding insights, and recognise opportunities for process improvements. Conduct independent research to understand best practices, methodologies, and tools relevant to assigned tasks and analytics projects.
- Creating PowerPoint slides and to communicate analytical findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Supporting finance workflow streamlining and automation initiatives by assisting with SOP documentation, workflow visualization, and providing recommendations based on analysis.
WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in Data Science, Business, Accountancy, Finance, or related disciplines
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau. Knowledge of Excel for advanced data manipulation (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse data sets to derive meaningful insights
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate flexibility in tackling tasks, and contribute positively as part of a collaborative team
- A proactive approach to learning, with a demonstrated eagerness to acquire new skills and apply them in real-world scenarios
