Cybersecurity Project Manager, Financial Services

Overview

Our client is a leading Financial Services firm with a strong presence across Asia. As the organisation continues to scale, it is investing heavily in strengthening its cyber resilience to protect critical systems, infrastructure, and sensitive information. Operating in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment, the firm is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to drive strategic security initiatives and uplift its overall security posture.

Role

As the Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity programs spanning technology, operations, and governance. This includes driving initiatives such as SIEM implementation, SOC onboarding, vulnerability management, DLP programmes and cloud security projects, while ensuring they are tightly aligned to business and regulatory priorities. You will coordinate cross-functionally with infrastructure, IT, risk, compliance, business stakeholders and external service providers, overseeing project plans, budgets, timelines, and vendor deliverables. A key part of the role will be managing change and adoption-translating security requirements into practical processes, embedding controls into day-to-day operations, and providing clear reporting and updates to senior management and steering committees.

Requirements

Degree certified, you have at least 7-12 years experience managing IT and cybersecurity initiatives, including complex, multi-stakeholder projects in regulated environments. You bring a strong grounding in key security areas such as cloud security, IAM, endpoint and network protection, and threat/risk management, and are familiar with established frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls. You have a proven track record in partnering with system integrators and security vendors, overseeing contracts, deliverables, SLAs, scope and budgets, particularly for cloud and managed security services.
