Job Description

1. Import Operations

  • Monitor and follow up on import schedules, ensuring timely customs clearance and cargo movement.
  • Work closely with customs brokers and shipping agents to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to schedule inbound deliveries and ensure proper cargo handling.

2. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all import documents (BL, packing lists, invoices, shipping instructions) meet customs and warehouse requirements.
  • Check and validate documentation for LME warranting, ensuring stock meets listing and compliance standards.
  • Update and maintain import shipment records, ensuring data accuracy for reporting and auditing.
  • Monitor and ensure proper lotting of cargo in alignment with storage policies.

3. Warehouse & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse operations team with the shipment warehouse space allocation.
  • Coordinate with third-party warehouses and transport providers to ensure smooth cargo movement and timely unstuffing and container re-charges.
  • Work with warehouse operations team for cargo allocation, to schedule re-piling, rebundling, or additional cargo handling if needed.
  • Work with the warehouse team to streamline cargo unloading, lotting, and storage procedures.

4. Customer Service & Reporting

  • Provide import status updates to internal teams when required.
  • Monitor and prepare weekly reports for import container re-charges.
  • Verify and approve import supplier invoice.
