Customer Service Engineer (SMT/THT Machine)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide back-office support, including the preparation and issuance of retrofit and MES quotations.

• Manage spare parts inventory across the SEA region, covering stock planning, procurement, storage, and distribution activities.

• Support field service operations by coordinating repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance activities in accordance with company standards.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine performance issues related to electrical, mechanical, or process functions, primarily through remote support and technical guidance.

• Conduct on-site customer training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance practices when required.

• Assist customers with process optimization and production ramp-up activities to improve efficiency and maintain product quality.

• Perform in-house and on-site soldering tests for product demonstrations, evaluations, and technical assessments.

• Assemble and dismantle equipment for exhibitions, trade shows, and demonstration purposes.

• Collaborate closely with regional sales and service teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and support.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports, including CPK records, evaluation reports, and related technical documentation.

• Coordinate installation and commissioning activities together with field service engineers, and support soldering and production equipment commissioning at customer sites across the SEA region when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in machine servicing, installation, or process support, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry (SMT or THT environment).

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, machine software applications, E-Office systems, and CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
