Credit Control Executive, Treaty Reinsurance

What the day will look like

  • Ensure timely settlements from Clients/Reinsurers as outlined in contract terms and procedures.
  • Reconcile outstanding balances with Clients/Reinsurers, identify problem areas, and discuss issues/suggested solutions to resolve matters within the team. Raise these to the team leader when necessary. Ensure accuracy and quality control on reconciliation matters.
  • Research unidentified cash balances under your care, discuss issues and suggested solutions to resolve matters within the team, and raise matters to the team leader when required.
  • Complete cash allocation within 3 working days and guarantee settlement is processed to the appropriate parties according to procedures.
  • Resolve reconciliation discrepancies with internal and external business partners in a timely manner.
  • Respond to emails within a day if you cannot address them right away. Manage inquiries from both inside and outside the organization within 3 working days after receiving the email.
  • Ensure that claim and cash call collections are tracked, gathered, and resolved promptly according to procedures. Provide updates to clients when necessary.
  • Identify client's or reinsurer's behavior that might impact collections. Bring up collection difficulties to the Team Lead.
  • Proactively follow up and monitor outstanding balances on a weekly basis. Seek Service Advocate's assistance if needed with collection and provide written updates on customer concerns to brokers and managers regarding ongoing issues.
  • Ensure documents such as banking details follow established procedures.
  • Ensure Compliance and Legal approval is acquired for third-party co-brokerages and brokerage-only accounts - TPA and JBA/BSA to be in place.
  • Accurately manage risk on payments and receipts.
  • Resolve all pending matters within a month and bring them up when required to Team Leader.

Adhoc Matters

. Engage actively with Service Advocates for the efficient collection of balances

. All other duties as required by the management.

. Audit confirmation when required

. Stay up to date on system matters affecting day to day operations, service level and outputs

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Credit Control and/or Technical Accounting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Great teammate with the ability to multitask, work independently, and communicate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Meticulous and able to multitask under tight deadlines with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to present to senior collaborators in a professional environment.
