Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager for Nigeria to lead our business operations, grow market share, and build strong distributor and retail partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the country team, driving sales, and strengthening brand presence in one of Africa's fastest-growing markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Newmatic's Nigeria operations, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute country-level business strategies aligned with regional objectives.
- Establish and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and project developers.
- Oversee sales, marketing, and after-sales service activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to guide business decisions.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing local team.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in consumer goods, appliances, or kitchen-related products.
- Strong leadership and commercial skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Experience working in Africa - must already be based in Africa or willing to relocate.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- French language skills a strong plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable, and culturally sensitive.
