The role focuses on the origination, structuring, execution and ongoing management of lending relationships for targeted corporate clients across the region. You will report directly to the Corporate Banking Team Leader and will have the opportunity to be groomed for a future leadership position. Key Responsibilities
- Originate, structure and execute loan transactions (bilateral, club and syndicated facilities) across the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on large corporate and SOE clients based in China, Singapore and ASEAN markets.
- Provide a full suite of corporate banking products, including but not limited to: operating accounts, trade finance, bilateral revolving/term loan facilities, syndicated loans and funded/unfunded risk participation structures.
- Prepare detailed and well‑analysed credit applications, including comprehensive financial analysis, credit risk assessment and industry evaluation, as well as perform ongoing account monitoring and periodic credit reviews to maintain a sound and profitable portfolio.
- Identify and pursue holistic banking opportunities in line with the overall business strategy, with a view to expanding and diversifying the corporate client base.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Operations, Treasury and other departments to ensure timely approval and robust execution of transactions.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit, compliance and lending policies.
Requirements
- Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Self‑motivated individual with approximately 4 to 8 years of relevant corporate banking experience gained from an international bank, with exposure to Asia Pacific clients.
- Strong business acumen with solid corporate banking product knowledge and a good understanding of regional market developments and trends.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the capability and potential to be developed into a leadership role.
