Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Cook to join our food court/canteen kitchen team. The Cook will be responsible for daily food preparation and cooking while ensuring good food quality, hygiene and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to recipes and company standards.
Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces and spices.
Ensure food is fresh, properly cooked and of consistent quality.
Assist with daily food preparation and meal service.
Maintain proper portion control and minimise food wastage.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, cooking equipment and work areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
Assist with stock checking and inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
Work together with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Assist with cleaning and other kitchen duties when required.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Cook in a food court, canteen, restaurant or catering kitchen is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
Responsible, hardworking and punctual.
Willing to learn and follow instructions.
Experience in Indian, Chinese or local cuisine will be an advantage.
