Responsible for preparing and cooking Chinese dishes according to restaurant standards. Ensure food quality, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes following standard recipes
- Assist in food preparation (cutting, marinating, portioning ingredients)
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use
- Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients
- Work closely with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisor for replenishment
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in any other ad hoc kitchen duties assigned
Job Requirements
- Basic experience in cooking Chinese cuisine preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Able to work long hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
