Job Description
Their role on large complex projects is:
- To monitor the project (delivery and scope), financial and legal risks on the projects in real time using the signed customer and 3rd party contracts as the base.
- To identify the associated risks and document (using the project documents) StarHub's positions accurately according to the contract mechanisms and procedures in the customer and 3rd party contracts (this will then form the basis of the evidence required for defences and claims when StarHub is not at fault).
- To provide real time contract advice to the PM's and team members on how to manage and mitigate the identified risks.
- To strategize, put together and negotiate the Extension of Time (EOT) and Prolongation Claims that mitigate the liquidated damages claims and delay costs if the fault of the delay is not caused by StarHub.
- To draft, govern and negotiate with the PM's the change requests on the project (as these affect the signed contract and the assumptions made in putting the signed contract together).
- To monitor the profit margin on the project in real time as Enterprise Business Group (EBG) has to alert the EBG Leadership Team and Senior Leaders of the Company (specifically the CFO and CEO) when the profit margin reduces by 5% or more from the margin approved by the management so that they can step in to help mitigate any serious problems on the project.
- To ensure all the contract deliverables are delivered and signed off by the customer.
- They also monitor and govern the billings (PR, PO, GR and CN) with the Business Operations team.
Qualifications
Should have at least 10 years post contract management experience with an ICT or telecom firm.
