Job Description

Salt is looking to hire a Contracts Manager to play who would manage the full contract lifecycle from drafting through negotiation and execution. This person will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the firm to ensure that contractual agreements are completed efficiently while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.

It is a contract role based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full contracting lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and execution of agreements for a portfolio of clients.
  • Oversee a designated client channel, including workload management, complexity assessment, and case allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance, sales, and operations to ensure contractual requirements and approvals are obtained.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the negotiation process and ensure timely contract completion.
  • Ensure that contracting procedures are followed to mitigate risk and comply with firm policies.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues to relevant internal stakeholders for review and resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of non-standard contractual clauses and update the contractual documentation database accordingly.
  • Ensure all executed contracts are properly documented, filed, and shared with relevant teams.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes and improve the overall client experience.
  • Support sales teams by addressing contractual documentation queries.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex legal contracts.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Approximately 47 years of relevant experience, ideally within the investment management or financial services industry.
  • Relevant legal qualification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry, including fund structures, client types, investment strategies, and operational frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to manage the contract lifecycle using multiple systems and tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to balance client needs with firm policies, regulatory considerations, and operational requirements.
