Job Description

Content Strategy

  • Develop and take ownership of a content strategy that supports the organisation's objective of building a strong data and analytics culture. Ensure that all content is purposeful, audience-focused, and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Define and manage the content calendar, aligning content themes and formats with key community milestones, campaigns, and learning objectives.
  • Conduct audience research and needs assessments to guide content direction, ensuring that materials are relevant to officers with varying levels of familiarity with Data and AI.
  • Establish and maintain content standards, guidelines, and a consistent editorial tone across all communication channels and formats.
  • Track and assess content performance using engagement metrics, and refine the content strategy based on data-driven insights.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in content strategy, data literacy communications, and internal communications, applying relevant insights to the community's content approach.

Partnerships and AI Adoption

  • Identify, establish, and manage partnerships with internal stakeholders, public sector agencies, industry organisations, and academic institutions to support AI adoption within the organisation.
  • Act as a key liaison between the relevant department and external partners, building relationships that introduce new perspectives, expertise, and resources to advance the organisation's AI ambitions.
  • Work closely with business units to understand their needs and jointly develop initiatives that encourage meaningful and sustained AI adoption across the organisation.
  • Proactively identify Data and AI use cases through community engagement, stakeholder discussions, and partnership activities, and channel these insights back to the relevant department to support the prioritisation of future initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to jointly develop programmes, resources, and events that strengthen AI awareness and capabilities among officers.

Events, Hackathons and Community Engagement

  • Plan, organise, and execute a wide range of community events and initiatives, including but not limited to meetups, seminars, workshops, clinics, hackathons, and prompt engineering challenges, to strengthen Data and AI competencies among officers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Engage community members through a variety of publicity and engagement methods, including EDMs, polls, focus group sessions, podcasts, and collaboration tools.
  • Identify and engage suitable speakers from the public sector and industry for community meetups and events where appropriate.
  • Proactively engage business units through internal platforms to encourage participation in and contributions to community activities.

Marketing and Communications

  • Create and oversee the development of marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, newsletters, feature stories, and digital or offline campaigns.
  • Develop and manage the community portal and knowledge hub, including sourcing and curating useful resources such as data science articles, videos, and tutorials, moderating forum activities, and producing original content.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that all messaging and branding remain aligned and consistent.
  • Improve existing workflows and documentation to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Visual Communications, Communications Design, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • At least four years of experience in content strategy, engagement management, and/or change management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement content strategies, supported by a portfolio that reflects clear consideration of the intended audience, purpose, and impact.
  • Proven experience managing events involving multiple stakeholders, such as hackathons, conferences, or large-scale community programmes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record of executing initiatives and delivering results in a structured and organised manner.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter and fast learner with excellent organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, analytics platforms, and social media.
  • A strong eye for design and proficiency in Canva Pro, Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, or equivalent tools such as GIMP, Inkscape, or Scribus would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, and/or data governance would be an advantage.
