About the Role

The Business Times (BT), Singapore's premier business daily, is looking for a content producer who is passionate and enthusiastic about how articles are presented, with a keen eye for an engaging headline. He / She will work on businesstimes.com.sg and its global edition, picking wires, maintaining the homepage that includes ensuring it is updated regularly.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation and writing headlines for the internet
• Have strong news sense and able to judge placement of news on homepage, and pick important wires in a timely manner.
• Have an eye for assessing news, including global developments.
• Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and without errors in a fast-paced environment
• Be familiar with how to use a web content management system
• Keep abreast of evolving trends across digital platforms and media
• Develop content for other platforms if necessary, including newsletters and email bulletins.
• Required to work on weekends/Public Holidays (5-days work week)
• Willingness to work irregular hours and shifts.

Key Qualifications / Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Interest in economics, international news, business and finance topics
• Experience in covering regional and global news in a similar role is a strong advantage.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
