Job Description
As a Consultant at ESC, you will support delivery of multidisciplinary consultancy services. This dynamic position involves conducting research, fieldwork, data analysis, and preparing high-quality reports across environmental, social, safety and sustainability domains. You will be responsible for producing client-facing deliverables, coordinating field activities, and supporting stakeholder engagement efforts. In addition to project execution, you will contribute to project management, business development initiatives, compliance tracking, and internal operational support. Success in this role requires close collaboration with clients, authorities, and cross-functional teams to ensure outcomes that are both technically sound and strategically aligned.
Job Responsibilities
. Conduct research and support technical assessments and sustainability-related studies.
. Manage fieldwork activities, including site surveys, sampling, and supervision.
. Analyse data and prepare technical reports, monitoring plans, and presentation materials.
. Liaise with clients, authorities, and project teams, including support for regulatory submissions.
. Lead proposal development and cost estimation, including scope definition and resource planning.
. Provide support for helpdesk operations and compliance tracking.
. Maintain documentation such as legal registers, permitting records, and audit logs.
. Contribute to regional regulatory guidance and internal knowledge sharing.
. Participate in marketing and business development initiatives.
. Collaborate across teams to support project delivery throughout Asia.
. Consultants are expected to take ownership of project components, make field-level decisions, and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
Job Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
. 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in an environmental consulting environment.
. Familiarity with environmental regulations and frameworks across Asia.
. Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills.
. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and presentations.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office knowledge of geospatial or environmental analysis tools is an advantage.
. Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
. Professional integrity and accountability in both client-facing and internal interactions.
. Ability to exercise discretion when handling complex or sensitive matters.
. A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute across disciplines.
