Construction Site Supervisor
To plan, supervise, and coordinate daily site activities for HIP upgrading works, ensuring:
- Works are completed on time, safely, and within quality standards
- Minimal disruption to residents living in the flats
- Full compliance with HDB, BCA, and safety regulations
A. Site Operations & Coordination
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities (e.g. bathroom upgrading, piping, tiling, spalling repairs)
- Coordinate with: Subcontractors Suppliers Internal project team (PM, engineers)
- Ensure proper sequencing of works across multiple units/stacks
B. Resident Management (Critical for HIP)
- Liaise directly with residents on: Work schedules Access arrangements Temporary inconveniences (noise, water shut-off)
- Handle complaints and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure workers maintain proper conduct in occupied units
C. Quality Control
- Ensure works comply with: HDB specifications Approved drawings and method statements
- Conduct inspections for: Waterproofing Tiling alignment Finishing quality
- Rectify defects promptly before handover
D. Safety Management
- Enforce site safety in line with ..Workplace Safety and Health Council guidelines
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings
- Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices
- Identify and mitigate risks in confined residential environments
E. Progress Monitoring
- Track daily productivity and work progress
- Report progress to Project Manager / Site Engineer
- Ensure adherence to tight HIP schedules per unit
F. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records: Daily reports Inspection checklists Material delivery records
- Assist in submission of reports required by HDB
G. Authority & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with: HDB requirements CA regulations Environmental and noise control rules
- Prepare for inspections by HDB officers
