Job Description

Job Summary: The Construction Project Manager (Scaffolding Works) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing scaffolding projects from start to completion. This role ensures scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations (e.g., MOM, WSH Act). The manager supervises site operations, resources, subcontractors, safety practices, and project documentation. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination Develop and execute scaffolding project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams for project requirements. Review project drawings, technical specifications, and method statements. Site Management Supervise scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling activities. Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and safety standards. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and compliance. Safety & Compliance Ensure work complies with MOM, WSH, and industry safety standards. Conduct risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and safety audits on scaffolding systems. Ensure proper certification of scaffolders, supervisors, and equipment. Resource & Personnel Management Manage manpower planning, deployment, and subcontractor performance. Arrange equipment, tools, and scaffolding materials on time. Train and mentor site staff and workers regarding safe work procedures. Documentation & Reporting Prepare project updates, progress reports, and site documentation. Verify measurements, BOQs, material usage, and approve invoices/claims. Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits-to-work, and handover documents. Quality & Cost Control Monitor project costs, material usage, and reduce wastage. Ensure scaffold meets load capacity, stability, and quality requirements. Identify project risks, delays, and implement corrective measures. Requirements: Education & Certification Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field. Certified Scaffold Supervisor / Advanced Scaffolding Qualification (preferred). Valid Safety Passport (e.g., WSQ courses, Work at Height Supervisor) will be an advantage. Experience Minimum 3-5 years experience in scaffolding project coordination or management. Knowledge of scaffold systems (Tube & Fittings, Ringlock, Cuplock, etc.). Skills Strong leadership and site management skills. Good understanding of safety regulations and scaffolding standards. Ability to read technical drawings and conduct risk assessments. Good communication and reporting skills.
