Construction Manager (Shipyard/ Overseas)

Responsibilities

. Coordinating the activities onsite to achieveproject planning, quality goal and safe execution

. To ensure subcontractor/vendor perform the workaccording to the project requirement includes but not limited to projectspecification, classification rules, mandatory regulation and good industrypractices

. Close communication with owner reps andclassification surveyor to resolve any technical issue arisen in theconstruction execution phase

. Monitor the performance of the subcontractor andsupplier, taking necessary action to resolve the quality and safety relatedissues, including but not limited to re-training, fines, dismissal of theperson involved

. Provide the lesson learn report to prevent therecurrence of the non-compliances

. Provides the production planning to ensure theconstruction activities are carried out in the right sequence and minimized therework

. Coordinate all onsite activities to ensureproject milestones are achieved while maintaining uncompromising standards forquality and safety.

. Ensure all subcontractors and vendors adherestrictly to project specifications, Classification Society rules, mandatoryregulations, and established industry best practices.

. Maintain proactive communication with OwnerRepresentatives and Class Surveyors to identify and resolve technicalchallenges during the construction and execution phases.

. Monitor and evaluate subcontractor and supplierperformance implement corrective actions for quality or safety breaches,ranging from mandatory retraining and financial penalties to the dismissal ofnon-compliant personnel.

. Develop comprehensive Lesson Learned reports toidentify root causes of non-compliance and implement preventative measures forfuture projects.

. Formulate detailed production schedules toensure construction activities follow a logical sequence, maximizing resourceutility and minimizing costly rework.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in NavalArchitecture, Marine Engineering orsimilar qualification with strong technical background.

. At least 5 years working experience asconstruction manager

. Possess knowledge of newbuilding project

. Proficiency in MS Office

. Able to work in Batam Full time
