Position Overview:
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Construction Manager acts as a key liaison between clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment requirements.
Oversee daily site operations and ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Supervise and guide site supervisors, subcontractors, and workers.
Conduct regular project meetings with contractors, clients, and consultants.
Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce construction safety rules and protocols on-site.
Ensure compliance with building codes, legal regulations, and quality standards.
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments regularly.
Quality Control
Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Inspect work quality and ensure adherence to project requirements.
Approve materials and workmanship to meet standards.
Financial Management
Prepare cost estimates and track project expenses.
Identify and manage project risks and cost overruns.
Approve contractor invoices and manage procurement processes.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate project records, logs, and reports.
Provide regular updates to management and clients on project status.
Prepare final project documentation upon completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in construction project supervision or management.
Experience handling commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
