Scope of Work
Overall management of civil works for land reclamation and related infrastructure, including:
- Ground improvement, excavation, and backfilling works.
- Diversion of existing drainage systems and coordination of land acquisition matters.
- Construction of reinforced concrete (RC) and unlined drainage channels, as well as ancillary civil works.
- Coordination of marine-related activities where applicable (e.g. dredging, marine logistics, and coastal interface works).
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive construction planning, scheduling, and procurement of resources.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, and resource allocation to ensure project efficiency.
- Oversee government applications, regulatory approvals, and permit submissions.
- Liaise and negotiate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
- Manage and supervise construction teams, including site engineers and supervisors.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance in accordance with HSE standards.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered in line with contract specifications and timelines.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Support tendering activities, including review of technical submissions and cost estimates (where required).
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Must-have: Strong experience in land reclamation and land civil works.
- Must-have: Proven track record as a Construction Manager or Project Manager in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end.
- Must be able to work in Tuas, 5.5 days per week
