Job Summary
Prepare and manage detailed construction shop drawings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. Collaborate with site teams and clients to resolve issues and maintain up-to-date documentation for smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for architectural, structural, and M&E construction works to support project delivery
- Develop and interpret construction shop drawing details to ensure clarity and accuracy
- Liaise with site teams to verify drawings reflect actual site conditions and update as needed
- Provide drawing clarifications to site project managers, engineers, and supervisors to facilitate construction activities
- Check designs and details to ensure compliance with relevant authorities and standards
- Submit and revise shop drawings to clients within project timelines to maintain workflow
- Coordinate with clients to resolve issues arising from shop drawing comments and feedback
- Maintain version control of all drawings to ensure the latest revisions are available
- Issue updated drawings to site teams and subcontractors, keeping accurate records of revisions and approvals
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required to support project needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Recognized Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the Singapore construction industry
- Proficient in reading and interpreting consultant drawings
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing, including civil & structural and structural steel
- Effective coordination and communication skills with site teams and consultants
- High attention to detail to prevent site errors
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Ability to start work on short notice
