Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a hands-on and commercially astute Compliance professional to support the regulatory, corporate governance and compliance framework of a Singapore-listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

The role will work closely with senior management, finance, investor relations and the Trustee to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory & Listing Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with SGX-ST Listing Rules, Code on Collective Investment Schemes (CIS Code) and relevant MAS regulations
  • Oversee timely submission of SGX announcements and statutory filings
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on the REIT

Corporate Governance

  • Support Board and Board Committee matters, including preparation of papers and minutes
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and policies

Operational & Risk Compliance

  • Maintain and enhance compliance policies, frameworks and internal controls
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments
  • Oversee AML/CFT requirements and KYC processes (where applicable)
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors

Transaction & Advisory Support

  • Provide compliance advisory support for acquisitions, divestments, fund-raising and other corporate exercises
  • Liaise with legal advisers, Trustee and regulators when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accountancy, Finance or related discipline
  • 6–10 years of compliance, regulatory or corporate governance experience, preferably within REIT, asset management or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of SGX Listing Rules and MAS regulations
  • High attention to detail with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a lean team environment
  • Preferred experience in a Singapore-listed REIT or real estate fund
