3PUMPKINS LIMITED (TAK TAKUT KIDS CLUB)

Founded in 2019, 3Pumpkins is a community arts and development charity dedicated to fostering strong human connections within and across communities. Best known for its flagship project, Tak Takut Kids Club, 3Pumpkins also leads participatory art initiatives that strengthen social bonds, enhance self-esteem, and highlight important community issues.

TAK TAKUT KIDS CLUB (TTKC)

TTKC is a childrens community development initiative by 3Pumpkins. Since 2021, it has impacted the lives of 500 children from vulnerable backgrounds, fostering a collaborative, child-centric social support system.

Through an open space concept, TTKC welcomes children and youth aged 7 to 14 to visit and engage in arts, freestyle play, sports, cooking and gardening. We also work with service partners to provide community care to members who would benefit from a child-centric, collaborative and holistic approach to improve their individual and family circumstances.

Children from age 7 are connected to the TTKC community, building a sense of belonging while discovering themselves through programs that nurture social, decision-making, and essential life skills. As they grow, they develop leadership abilities, passing on positive values to younger children in the community.

TTKC operates in Boon Lay and Lengkok Bahru.

Community Worker

Key Responsibilities:

1 Engage and Empower Children

  • Facilitate children&aposs participation in activities that promote autonomy, relatedness, and competency.
  • Support the development of social-emotional confidence and essential life skills.

2 Programme Management

  • Plan and implement programmes ranging from community-building activities to social learning and co-creation projects.
  • Adapt and refine programmes based on children&aposs needs and feedback.

3 Collaboration & Ecosystem Strengthening

  • Work with stakeholders to foster a supportive, child-centric ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, parents, and volunteers.

4 Team & Operations Support

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth programme operations.
  • Identify areas for innovation and contribute to continuous improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in volunteering/community work, with a strong track record in supporting children and youth.
  • Strong initiative in designing and leading child-centric activities aimed at improving SEL, numeracy, and life skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and creativity in a dynamic community-focused environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both individual and team goals.

Work Arrangement:

  • 40 hour work week; including Saturdays
  • Shift work is required: regular days are 10am to 7pm, while onsite days (at most 3 days a week) are 12pm to 9pm
