  • Support marketing initiatives and represent KGI Securities in industry forums to enhance market visibility.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients to deepen engagement.
  • Understand client objectives, portfolio strategies, and risk tolerance to recommend tailored derivatives solutions.
  • Provide continuous client servicing through regular updates, trade ideas, and research insights.
  • Act as a trusted partner by offering thought leadership and timely advice during market events or volatility.

3. Sales Execution & Deal Management

  • Pitch a range of commodities derivatives products-covering energy, metals, agricultural, and index-linked instruments.
  • Structure and execute trades in collaboration with trading desks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to secure favorable outcomes for both clients and the firm.
  • Monitor client transactions to ensure alignment with internal risk policies and external regulations.

4. Risk & Compliance Oversight

  • Partner with risk management and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards (MAS, SGX, and global requirements).
  • Proactively identify potential trading risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Educate clients on product risks, hedging mechanisms, and best practices in derivatives usage.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for audit, reporting, and compliance purposes.

5. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Conduct deep market research to identify trading themes, sector developments, and pricing trends.
  • Translate research into actionable strategies and innovative product solutions for clients.
  • Deliver market briefings and prepare periodic reports for internal management on sales performance, client pipeline, and revenue forecasts.
  • Share competitor insights and collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine product offerings and business strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines (Master's or CFA qualification advantageous).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commodities sales, trading, or financial services with proven track record in revenue generation.
  • Strong expertise in derivatives instruments (futures, options, swaps) and practical knowledge of risk management strategies.
  • Established network of institutional or corporate commodity clients in Asia.
  • Familiarity with SGX products and global commodities exchanges (e.g., CME, ICE, LME).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business development mindset with ability to generate new client leads.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills-capable of explaining complex derivatives in simple terms.
  • Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving ability and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters, trading platforms, and financial modelling tools.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills across front office, middle office, and risk functions.
