Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager to lead and manage end-to-end commercial, contracts, and procurement activities across regional operations. This role drives commercial strategy, contract governance, cost optimisation, supplier performance, and cross-functional alignment to support profitable growth and operational excellence across APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with business objectives and regional growth plans to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Advise senior leadership on contracts, pricing, risk management, and cost optimisation to influence strategic decision-making
  • Translate corporate and regional strategies into actionable commercial plans that support business growth
  • Lead negotiation, renewal, variation, and compliance management of customer and supplier contracts to ensure contractual integrity and performance
  • Establish and maintain commercial governance frameworks, policies, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks to protect business interests
  • Oversee contract performance, service level agreements (SLAs), and financial outcomes to ensure operational excellence
  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to optimise cost, quality, and service delivery
  • Develop and manage supplier performance frameworks across cost, delivery, quality, and compliance to enhance supplier relationships
  • Drive long-term agreements, blanket orders, and supplier consolidation initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and resilience
  • Ensure continuity of supply and operational resilience across regional operations through proactive supplier and risk management
  • Drive cost-reduction and value-creation initiatives across procurement, logistics, warehousing, and operations to improve profitability
  • Oversee pricing strategies, margin protection, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to support financial performance
  • Manage commercial budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting to provide transparency and accountability
  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic planning
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to support revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Align commercial activities with operational execution, inventory strategy, and service levels to ensure seamless business operations
  • Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation from a commercial perspective to safeguard business operations
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems to uphold governance standards
  • Lead and support internal and external audits related to contracts, suppliers, and commercial processes to maintain compliance
  • Promote ethical sourcing, governance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial practices
  • Lead, mentor, and develop commercial and procurement teams to build capability and drive performance
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and strategic suppliers to foster collaboration and partnership
  • Influence senior stakeholders across regional and global teams to align commercial objectives and drive business success

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proven experience in Commercial Management, Contracts, Procurement, or Supply Chain leadership roles with demonstrated ability to lead regional or APAC-wide commercial activities
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, commercial risk management, and cost optimisation to deliver business value
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, and financial performance drivers to support commercial decision-making
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders
  • Highly analytical with excellent commercial judgement to assess risks and opportunities effectively
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
  • 10-15+ years experience in commercial, contracts, procurement, or operations roles
  • Regional / APAC exposure highly desirable
  • Knowledge of aerospace, manufacturing, logistics, or other regulated industries preferred
  • Certifications: ISO9001 / AS9120 / AS1300 / ASA100, Rolls-Royce SABRe Requirements, TAPA / Quality or Compliance-related certifications
