Co Manager, Japanese Equities
The Portfolio Manager will manage equities portfolios and conduct investment research for the Japan Equities team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage equities portfolios investing in the Japan market, adhering to fund and regulatory mandates, and making asset, sector and stock allocation decisions.
- Conduct research analysis covering multiple sectors for the Japan market.
- Performs analysis on sectors and stocks, and make recommendations for input into Japan equities portfolios.
- Have a thorough understanding of company's business.
- Build and maintain earnings and cash flow models for companies covered, with varying degree of granularity.
- Value the company's securities based on a sound and thorough understanding of it business. Competitive position and growth prospect.
- Interpret and analyze portfolio performance attribution and write performance review reports
- Prepare and deliver market review reports, market outlook and portfolio strategy presentations.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant degree with at least 9 years of experience in research or investment management role within brokerage, asset management or fund house working environment.
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese languages is preferred.
- Forward-thinking individual with strong analytical skills, sound judgment and a drive for team innovation.
- Excellent people management skills who can bring the best out of the team members.
- Possesses solid financial analysis and modeling skills with strong understanding of the various valuation techniques to perform in depth company and industry analysis is essential.
