We are looking for a motivated Cloudera Administrator with hands-on experience in managing Cloudera environments. The ideal candidate will support daily platform operations, assist in patching and upgrades, and contribute to migration and DR activities under senior guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Hadoop cluster performance and ensure high availability of services
- Handle incident management and perform log collection for Cloudera components
- Execute application start/stop and configuration requests based on operational needs
- Collaborate with OS, Storage, Network, and Compute teams for cross-platform support
- Assist in job failure analysis, queue management, and resource allocation
- Perform patching, minor upgrades, and support NiFi template migrations
- Contribute to backup and recovery operations for critical data
- Manage user access and security (Kerberos, Ranger, LDAP)
- Support Cloudera upgrades and hotfix deployments under supervision
- Participate in DR drills and ensure synchronization between production and DR environments
- Monitor platform health using Cloudera Manager, Grafana, and ELK dashboards
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Oozie)
- Basic knowledge of Cloudera Manager and administration tools
- Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills
- Familiarity with Kerberos authentication, Ranger security, and user access management
- Understanding of patch management and upgrade processes
- Good troubleshooting, log analysis, and communication skills
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Python or Ansible scripting for automation
- Experience with CI/CD-based cluster operations
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
