Cloud Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Cloud Engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services. The Cloud Engineer will assist in designing, deploying, and monitoring cloud environments to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. The role includes managing cloud resources, optimizing system performance, and supporting infrastructure automation initiatives. Responsibilities also involve troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring cloud operations, implementing backup and recovery solutions, and ensuring compliance with organizational security standards. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments, improve system efficiency, and contribute to continuous infrastructure enhancement projects. The role requires strong analytical thinking, technical problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage multiple cloud-related tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, infrastructure management, and virtualization technologies

• Familiarity with cloud services, system monitoring, and infrastructure optimization practices

• Ability to deploy, maintain, and support cloud-based applications and environments

• Understanding of cloud security principles, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes

• Proficiency in scripting, automation tools, and infrastructure management technologies

• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with networking concepts, server administration, and system integration

• Ability to monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability

• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail

• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders

• Understanding of compliance standards, data protection, and cloud governance practices

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field

• Professional cloud certifications are considered an added advantage

• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting abilities

• Ability to manage multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced environment
