Cloud Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Cloud Engineer. The role involves supporting the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and cloud-based services to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. Responsibilities include monitoring cloud environments, assisting with cloud deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting infrastructure automation processes. The position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration projects, maintain system performance, and improve operational efficiency. The candidate will contribute to managing cloud resources, supporting backup and disaster recovery procedures, monitoring system availability, and maintaining cloud security standards. Additional responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, assisting with system integration activities, supporting performance optimization initiatives, and staying updated with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage multiple cloud-related tasks effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and cloud infrastructure concepts

• Familiarity with cloud deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes

• Understanding of networking, virtualization, and system administration principles

• Ability to troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure-related technical issues

• Familiarity with cloud security, backup, and disaster recovery practices

• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management concepts

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and technical teams

• Familiarity with databases, operating systems, and server management practices

• Strong communication and technical documentation skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and support ongoing cloud operations effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field

• Cloud-related certifications are a plus
