Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer (L2) to support and manage enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple domains including Cloud, Security, Networking, and Systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and service restoration, ensuring all issues are resolved within defined SLA timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor work queues and proactively manage incidents and service requests
- Provide L2 support for medium-complexity issues across multiple technologies
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents while identifying root causes
- Ensure timely resolution within SLA and update tickets with detailed actions
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients for issue resolution
- Perform change management activities with proper risk assessment
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
- Drive automation initiatives with scripting and tools
- Conduct ticket audits, trend analysis, and improve knowledge base
- Assist L1 teams in initial troubleshooting and escalation handling
Required Skills & Expertise
Core Technologies:
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Debian)
- Virtualization: VMware ESXi, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (Nutanix preferred)
- Cloud Platforms:
- AWS (EC2, RDS, IAM, KMS, Direct Connect, Containers)
- Azure (VMs, AD, Firewall, Key Vault, ExpressRoute)
- Alibaba Cloud (ECS, OSS, VPC)
- Networking & Security: Firewalls, Load Balancers, Routing, VPNs
- Storage: SAN, Enterprise Storage Systems
Tools & Automation:
- ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python
- Automation: Ansible, APIs, CI/CD
- Data formats: JSON
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications are a plus:
- AWS / Azure / Alibaba Cloud
- VMware / Veeam
- ITIL / SRE
Experience Required
- 3–7 years in Managed Services / IT Infrastructure Support
- Hands-on experience across multiple technology domains
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and incident management
- Experience working with vendors and global teams
