Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and oversee the agency's counselling services and programmes to ensure professional standards, quality assurance and effective care for service users.
- Provide clinical supervision, case consultation and professional guidance to counselling staff.
- Prepare reports on counselling services, programme outcomes, and service performance.
- Conceptualise, implement, and manage community outreach initiatives focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
- Establish and maintain strong networks and collaborations with mental health professionals, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage budgets, funding proposals, and grant applications for counselling services and programmes.
- Develop, review, and update policies, protocols, and clinical standards to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of counselling services.
- Conceptualise and implement counselling service strategies aligned with the agency's strategic direction and growth objectives.
- Advise the management on strategic planning, development, and sustainability of counselling services.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Accredited Master or Doctoral degree in Psychology (preferably Clinical Psychology) or Counselling (preferably with Clinical specialisation) from an accredited University.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant clinical experience, including at least 5 years in clinical supervision, service planning and/or programme development, preferably within mental health service settings.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor, guide, and support clinical teams in delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services.
- Registration with, or eligible for registration with, a recognised professional body (eg Singapore Psychological Society).
- Demonstrated expertise in mindfulness-based psychotherapeutic approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
