Job Summary
You will manage patient registration and appointment scheduling, handle payments and insurance claims, assist doctors during consultations and simple procedures, maintain patient records, and support daily clinic operations across two clinic locations.
Responsibilities
- Register patients accurately and schedule their appointments, including sending timely reminders
- Respond promptly to phone, SMS, and email queries to support patient needs
- Process payments and prepare submissions for TPA (Third-Party), Medisave, and insurance claims with required documentation
- Prepare and dispense patients medications for doctor review and approval
- Assist doctors during consultations and perform simple in-clinic procedures such as ECG and nebuliser treatments after training
- Address and resolve first-level patient complaints professionally
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with standard guidelines
- Support daily clinic operations including managing medication, consumables, and equipment inventory with timely replenishment and housekeeping
- Perform administrative tasks related to patient care, records management, and clinic operations
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth clinic functioning across two clinic locations
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to work a 5.5-day week including rotating shifts (AM, Noon, Evening) and weekends, with no overnight shifts
- Ability to travel between two clinic locations within the west area to fulfill a 44-hour work week
- Diploma in any discipline, or GCE A Level / O Level / Higher NITEC
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital or medical clinic operations or front desk duties
- Experience in submitting insurance and Medisave claims
- Familiarity with clinic operations and patient care processes
- Strong customer service attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work dependably as part of a team
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience as an enrolled nurse
- Flexibility to support staffing needs by moving between clinics as required
- Familiarity with Plato CMS system
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or dialects to assist Mandarin-speaking or elderly patients
