Job Description

SIAC Chief Operating Officer

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will report to the CEO, support the CEO and Registrar, and work closely with the SIAC Board of Directors and the SIAC Court of Arbitration, on the implementation and running of SIAC's day-to-day corporate functions, operational matters, projects, and initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced, versatile individual with relevant experience in running and overseeing the corporate operations of an organisation, particularly in the areas of finance, people development and HR, regulatory compliance, technology implementation and adoption, services and process design and development, culture and organisational transformation as well as internal capacity building.

The ideal candidate should possess multi-disciplinary skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as both a leader and team player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee SIAC's day-to-day operations and corporate services functions including:
  • Supervising Finance, HR, IT, Operations & Admin and legal/regulatory compliance for SIAC's Singapore and overseas offices.
  • Supporting SIAC's global expansion strategies and operations.
  • Overseeing corporate governance, finance, HR, people development, services, process, and technology development and administration as well as internal governance matters relating to compliance and finance.
  • Drive strategic resource planning, budgeting, financial planning and management, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure strong internal processes, governance, compliance, risk management and financial controls.
  • Ensure effective service delivery, process design and operations for SIAC, including AI and technology development and adoption.
  • Oversee HR management and talent development:
  • Manpower recruitment and talent / skills and capacity development for SIAC's international workforce.
  • Organisational development and transformation:
  • Work closely with the SIAC management team to build team culture and create value for SIAC by transforming corporate and organisational processes and implementing people upskilling and development, service and internal process enhancements, productivity and technology initiatives.
  • Ensure strong regulatory compliance and governance.
  • Support CEO in government and stakeholder relations and such other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree from a local or internationally recognised institution.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong administration skills, relevant experience in strategic resource planning and operations, finance, technology development, compliance administration, human resource and talent development and government relations.
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to lead, implement systems, manage, align and develop a high-performance culture in organisations.
  • A hands on leader and natural communicator with strong people and management skills who is able to motivate and align staff through open and honest communication that is backed up with personal action and role modelling.
  • Builds and mentors a strong, motivated, collegial, diverse international team of professionals, with multiple perspectives, to achieve collective success.
  • High level of professional integrity and ethics.
  • Results orientated but thoughtful and deliberate execution skills.
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward-thinking, with a progressive mindset.
