Chief Operating Officer

On behalf of one of its clients, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (Luxury Data & Insights Platform APAC & Middle East)

Our client is a leading subscription-based platform that empowers the world's most prestigious luxury brands with data-driven insights and intelligence. By providing subscription-based access to market research, analytics, and consumer insights, the company helps luxury players across multiple verticals capture and grow their share of the affluent consumer market.

As the business continues to scale across APAC and the Middle East, the company is seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to strengthen operations, drive efficiencies, and embed AI-powered practices across the organization. This is a critical leadership role for a commercially minded operator who can unite a growing global team and partner network into one high-performing engine.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Operational Leadership

- Unify and align five core functions - Research Operations, Marketing, Business Development, Data/Engineering, and the emerging Consulting practice into a cohesive operating model.

- Establish a high-performance rhythm across the 30-person core team and external partner network.

2. Commercial & Financial Performance

- Partner closely with the CEO to achieve ambitious top-line growth and sustainable gross margin targets.

- Oversee commercial operations, ensuring scalability and profitability.

3. People & Process Excellence

- Embed OKRs, KPIs, agile rituals, and vendor-management frameworks to accelerate delivery timelines, improve efficiency, and enhance employee engagement.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

4. Technology & AI Acceleration

- Lead the adoption and integration of AI/ML initiatives (e.g., panel automation, generative AI reporting).

- Manage external technology partners and ensure delivery of innovative, scalable solutions.

5. Governance & Decision-Making

- Approve key hires and operational investments within agreed thresholds.

- Provide strategic oversight to ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

10+ years in data, insights, SaaS or tech-enabled services into luxury or premier brands, incl. 3+ years leading multi-office teams.

Track record streamlining operations and boosting margins in a 30-100 person environment.

Comfort toggling between strategic planning and sleeves-rolled-up execution.

Demonstrable AI/analytics experience - either hands-on or by steering vendors.
