Job Summary:
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and security program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This role involves leading the information security team, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
- Lead the information security team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks.
- Establish and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization's information assets.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure security initiatives are integrated into business processes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the information security program to senior management and the board of directors.
- Oversee incident response planning and execution, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes affecting information security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in information security with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Proven experience in risk management, incident response, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
