Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function for a Chinese-related F&B group in Singapore. The candidate will oversee financial strategy, reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash flow management, and operational finance across multiple outlets/entities.

The ideal candidate must be able to read and understand Chinese financial reports and communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, suppliers, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's overall financial strategy and planning
  • Manage full spectrum of finance and accounting operations
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial statements, and cash flow forecasts
  • Analyse business performance, outlet profitability, and cost control measures
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, GST, and statutory requirements
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, government authorities, and external consultants
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Monitor inventory costing, food cost, labour cost, and operational KPIs
  • Support expansion plans, new outlet setup, and investment evaluation
  • Implement and improve internal controls, SOPs, and financial systems
  • Review and interpret Chinese financial documents/reports from headquarters, partners, or suppliers
  • Provide strategic financial advice to directors and senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8-10 years of finance experience, preferably in F&B, retail, or hospitality industry
  • Prior experience in a senior finance leadership role is preferred
  • Able to read and understand Chinese financial reports and business documents
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing multi-entity or multi-outlet operations is an advantage

Preferred Skills

  • Familiar with ERP/accounting systems
  • Experience in China-Singapore business operations
  • Knowledge of F&B operational finance and inventory management
  • Ability to support business restructuring and process improvement initiatives
