Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance department and drive the financial strategy of the organization. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial direction, overseeing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and capital management. As the head of corporate financial strategy, you will lead the financial planning and analysis processes, manage risk, and ensure that the company's financial performance aligns with its long-term goals. The CFO will also collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategic Planning:

  • Lead the overall financial strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement financial plans, forecasting models, and business strategies to drive profitability and ensure sustainable financial growth
  • Advise the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on key financial matters, including business performance, capital structure, investments, and risk management
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations that guide strategic decisions, ensuring sound financial judgment in all areas of the business
  • Drive the company's long-term strategic financial goals, including business growth, cost optimization, and capital investments

Corporate Financial Strategy & Capital Management:

  • Oversee capital allocation and manage the company's financial portfolio, ensuring optimal investment and financing decisions
  • Develop and execute capital-raising strategies (e.g., debt, equity, or hybrid financing) to support business operations and growth initiatives
  • Lead efforts in managing the company's balance sheet, ensuring healthy financial ratios, cash flow management, and financial liquidity
  • Establish and manage the corporate budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the achievement of financial targets
  • Optimize the organization's capital structure to support operational efficiency and business growth

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other key financial metrics
  • Ensure that financial reporting complies with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements
  • Manage financial audits, working with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the company's financial position
  • Lead the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to tax laws and optimizing tax strategies for the organization

Risk Management & Financial Forecasting:

  • Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate financial exposure and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Lead financial risk management initiatives, including assessing market conditions, foreign exchange risk, and interest rate fluctuations
  • Implement financial forecasting tools and models to predict financial outcomes, helping to inform business decisions and budget adjustments
  • Provide leadership on the company's financial strategy, including investments, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives
  • Ensure the robustness of financial reporting systems, enabling accurate and timely forecasting and budgeting

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities to enhance team performance
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the finance department, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure team alignment with corporate objectives and values
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiency within the finance team

Stakeholder Engagement & External Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Lead communication with investors, shareholders, and the board of directors on financial performance, strategies, and corporate governance
  • Represent the company in financial and regulatory discussions, ensuring a positive relationship with external auditors and regulators
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the company on all financial matters during stakeholder meetings, annual reports, and industry events
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in senior finance roles, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity as a CFO or Head of Finance
  • Extensive experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial planning
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance
  • Proven track record of leading financial teams, driving strategic growth, and improving business performance
  • Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, capital management, and financial risk assessment
  • Experience with mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, debt structuring, and raising capital is a plus
Preferred Skills
  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalent
  • Experience in global financial management and international market dynamics
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience in the technology, real estate, or healthcare sectors is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing and corporate sustainability strategies
