The Velvet Cut is Singapore's upcoming flame-grilled, dry-aged steakhouse - where precision meets fire, and every plate is crafted with intention. We're building a tight, passionate brigade to bring this concept to life, and we're looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join our opening team.
What You'll Do
. Execute dishes with consistency, speed, and respect for quality across assigned stations
. Assist in prep for dry-aged cuts, sides, sauces, and seasonal specials
. Maintain mise en place and ensure smooth service during peak hours
. Uphold kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and organisational systems
. Work closely with the Sous Chef & Head Chef to refine recipes and elevate the guest experience. Support training of junior staff and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
. Minimum 6 months of experience in a commercial kitchen (steakhouse experience is a bonus, but not mandatory)
. Strong knife skills and a solid foundation in cooking techniques
. Ability to stay calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
. Team player with a good attitude and a willingness to learn
. Passionate about quality ingredients, flavour, and craftsmanship
. Keen eye for detail, from plating standards to station cleanliness
