Job Summary

You will prepare specific food items and meal components at your station, follow the head chef's directions, and collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and service in a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare specific food items and meal components at your station following head chef instructions
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food and service standards
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in the kitchen
  • Conduct stocktaking and order supplies for your station to ensure availability
  • Improve food preparation methods based on feedback to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Assist in other kitchen areas as needed to support team operations
  • Manage multitasking and organize tasks effectively during shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Communicate clearly and listen attentively to team members and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Apply knowledge of safety and sanitation best practices consistently during food preparation and kitchen maintenance
  • Work cooperatively within a team environment to achieve shared goals

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Qualification from a culinary school
  • Past experience working in a similar culinary role
  • Passion for delivering great food and service
