Chef Assistant

Job Description

. Assist the chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

. Support the chef in preparing and cooking Chinese-style dishes and noodles.

. Prepare, wash, cut and portion ingredients according to requirements.

. Assist with daily cooking, ingredient preparation and other kitchen duties.

. Ensure ingredients and food are handled and stored properly.

. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area.

. Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.

. Assist the chef with other kitchen-related duties as required.

Requirements

. 1-3 years or more of relevant experience in Chinese cuisine / Chinese F&B operations.

. Experience working in a Chinese restaurant or noodle shop is preferred.

. Good understanding of food preparation and basic cooking procedures.

. Able to assist the chef and work effectively as part of a kitchen team.

. Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.

. Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

. Good hygiene and food safety awareness.

. Staff Meal: Provided

. Working Hours: Monday-Saturday, 7:00am-7:00pm

. Break: 2:00pm-4:00pm

. Rest Days: 4 days per month, every Sunday off

. Location: Bishan

. Workplace: Air-conditioned noodle shop
